Your role as a Regional Operation Coordinator

The Regional Operation Coordinator – Chile will be responsible for supporting and ensuring a diligent overview of the different Chile wave-powered desalination sites.

Main responsibilities:

  • Overview the activities of the multiple Chile sites in collaboration with the Business Development, Field Operations and the local maintenance teams;
  • Supporting the acquisition of proper permits, approbations and any other necessary documents for the pursuit of the project(s);
  • Support the Chile Field Operations team with administrative necessary documents, in fields such as data reporting, logistics, financing, accounting (site budgets), HR compliance and more;
  • Some field related activities to support the Field Operations team for personnel absences, holidays and emergencies;
  • Develop long lasting collaboration with partners, vendors, and local professionals such as divers, boat captains and construction companies;
  • Support assigned Project Manager with civil, marine, MEP and logistics contractors coordination;
  • Support Project Manager with implementing best practices and internal processes for site project management, setting standards.

Requirements and desired profile:

  • Desire to have a lasting impact on the future of our planet;
  • Good communication, computer (email, chat, video calls), and negotiation skills;
  • Engineering degree, preferably mechanical, civil or marine;
  • A minimum of 5 years of applied experience in the water treatment and mining industry;
  • Availability to travel for the role;
  • Great project management and multitasking skills;
  • Self-starter, autonomous and entrepreneurial person;
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and optimize resources;
  • Warrior spirit and pragmatic rigor;
  • Fluency in Spanish and English;
  • Assets:
    • Experience desalination (general water treatment), marine works, water pipelines, hydraulics, renewable energy, water quality monitoring, standards and measurement;
    • Knowledge of French;
    • Diving accreditation; 
    • Boating experience.
