Your role as a Data Analyst:

The Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and managing integrated data management solutions. He/she will be fully integrated into Oneka’s engineering team, serving as the direct link between data measurements at sea and numerical simulations for hydraulic system design.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will be:

Developing, designing, and implementing data collection and analysis systems based on buoy sensors;

  • Determining the data necessary or essential for ongoing projects or processes;
  • Establish criteria for segmenting information;
  • Collaborate with the data simulation and electronics team and management in analyzing requirements related to the information to be collected;
  • Execute and optimize data processing codes;
  • Develop and implement data quality control strategies;
  • Detect or correct erroneous data;
  • Transform raw data into interpretable information using calibration formulas;
  • Collect and filter usable data transmitted by sensors;
  • Interpret and analyze the selected data using statistical methods;
  • Link the data measurements at sea with the numerical simulations of hydraulic system design;
  • Compare the selected data with sea conditions.

You are our next Data Analyst if you have:

Degree: DEC or bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer engineering, or any other related field.

Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in data exploration and analysis or in a similar role.

Technical skills:

    • Proven knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, etc.);
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of how servers work and how to use databases;
    • Very good command of analysis tools (Python, Julia, Matlab);
    • Strong data organization and processing skills;
    • High level of project management, priority management, and planning skills

Assets:
