Oneka Technologies is a growing Sherbrooke-based company, with operations in Florida and Chile and a second office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, dedicated to making the oceans a sustainable, accessible and affordable source of fresh water.

We’re looking for a real enthusiast to join our growing finance team as a Financial Analyst! On a day-to-day basis, you’ll help us achieve our corporate objectives by contributing to the analysis of financial statements, establishing budgets and financial forecasts, and including various financial tools to analyze our performance as an impact company.

More specifically, here is a summary of our Financial Analyst’s responsibilities at Oneka:

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (accounting entries, reconciliations, analyses, etc.);
  • Implement the new budgeting process and monitor budgets for various projects and departments;
  • Carry out financial projections;
  • Carry out cost analysis and follow-up for various projects and factory production;
  • Provide documentary support for various grant applications – reports, transmission of evidence, etc;
  • Prepare, improve and develop various KPI monitoring reports;
  • Produce various financial and impact reports as required.
  • Support manufacturing teams in relation to production costs;
  • Integrate various impact measures into financial analysis and use of financial tools in connection with our metrics and the development of these tools;
  • Contribute to financial modeling activities;
  • All other tasks and responsibilities in line with your expertise, strengths and interests!

You belong at Oneka as a Financial Analyst if you have :

  • A desire to make a lasting impact on the future of our planet;
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in accounting or finance;
  • At least 5 years’ proven experience in finance and/or accounting, in a similar position or as a financial analyst;
  • A keen interest in impact finance and the changes brought about by sustainable development awareness in corporate finance;
  • Excellent written and spoken English (as we operate in an international environment). Spanish is a great asset!
  • A strong ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent command of Excel and knowledge of the ERP environment;
  • Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal and communication, writing and problem-solving skills.
  • Versatility, curiosity, and a great desire to learn and develop your expertise!
